Hi,
Im a novice on this topic.. Could anyone please help me..

I have a 100 w subwoofer( active)
Frequency response 10hz-120hz(+-1db)
sub woofer channel rms 4.....100w
rms..8.....60w
Frequency 50hz
rated power <=200w
normal power <=100w

It has a phase control 0 degrees to 180 degrees
a crossover control40 mhz to 180 mhz
and volume control min to max

Firstly... does my subwoofer need an amplifier or something else for it to work.?

How do I "tune the subwoofer" in using the above controls?

thnanks

No amplifier needed. Just dial the phase until it sounds the loudest, crossover control...take off the m there...and a lot of those specs seem way off. Turn the crossover where your speakers let the sub take over (probably 80hz). The volume you just turn until it sounds even with the rest. IT all really depends on what you plan on hooking it to.

Hi Andre,

Im hooking the sub woofer up to the tv..
Im also trying to hook 2 speakers to the subby..

Am i suppose to hook them up on the input or out- put connectors of the subwoofer?

Does your TV has speaker-level outputs? These are usually clip spring terminals on your TV. If not, you're not going to get your speakers any power that way... If your TV does have speaker outputs, then I'd recommend hooking speakers straight to the TV and the subwoofer to the TV's Variable audio output.

Would you mind telling what the sub and speakers are to make sure I'm not telling you the wrong stuff?

the speakers are 5.1 channel multimedia powered speakers.
It also has a subwoofer 30watts. which is not what i want. thats why i got a 100w subwoofer.

The 100 w subwoofer brand name is "Highlander"
.

thanks

james
