.

I have a problem with any solid state amplifier that has to tout its Linear Damping circuit and then qualifies its operation to only the front L-R channels. Informing me the master volume control operates all channels simultaneously is another item that makes me go, "Duh!" This sort of hyperbole leaves most veteran audio folk asking just what kind of amplifier section did they design. The blurb states the amplifier section will produce as much as 100 watts, not very inspiring. But it does say this is enough to fill a room with vibrant sound. All that and it doesn't tell you what you really need to know.

The speakers in question are rated four Ohm nominal which makes life tough for an amplifier section in a HT receiver. Since speakers do not stay at their nominal impedance, it is a safe bet these speakers dip beneath four Ohms at some point. Depending on the speaker crossover's effect on current demand from the amplifier (which I can't find in any of the information you've provided) this speaker might be asking quite a bit from your amplifier. If it were me, I would be considering eight Ohm nominal speakers and inquiring about how much current is required to drive the speakers satisfactorily. If it is more than a few amps or the salesperson can't supply an answer, look for another speaker.

Actually the LSi 7 does not dip below 4 ohms (Stereophile has measurements). However, it still isn't an easy speaker to drive. The Yammy wouldn't be my first choice.
