Is this normal? Nothing in the manual mentioned that it will be hotter than normal when you run it in bridge mode. Any suggestion? I think DANMAN has the same setup, any downside on this? Thanks.
I don't use the bridge mode anymore and have gone to bi-amping instead with my new Electra's however, yes, the heat is more than in regular function. I have 2 12volt fans that I put at the top of my rack and that is what I used to use when listening at higher volumes. Don't forget, when you bridge it is as if you put the amp into a 4 ohm load and if your speakers are 4 ohms themselves, you may be pushing it a little.
I would suggest that if your speakers can be bi-amped to do that...........I noticed that this gave better sound to my ears but it also could be because the speakers I have now compared to before, are about 100 times better!
If your speakers cannot be bi-amped, just use them as monoblocks.
