My speakers are bi-wirable but I have never bi-wired them or any other speakers.

Does anyone have experience bi-wiring and does it really make a difference that the listener can hear?

Nice side step Jan.
Are you sure you don't want to drag this one out and beat on it a few more times?

I just can't stay away from this having designed one or two crossovers.
If the designer intended the crossover to be used bi-wired there is a very real possiblity that the frequency response will be closer to the design target than it would be otherwise. I can measure distinct response changes when the circuits are kept separate rather than sharing input and common. Now, I'm not addressing whether it's going to "sound better" or not, only the design side. There are a number of "low cost" speakers out there that have an extra set of posts for looks. The respectable companies will actually have the crossover circuits separated.
