Does anybody have this speaker setup, and what is your opinion of them? They are in the price range I am looking to spend and will be used about 70% tv & movies, 30% cds.
The 3005 is actually a pretty good speaker system! It is a very big improvement over the 2005 MkII. There's almost no aspect of performance which has not been improved. That said, the real killer in the set is the sub. The satellites are better than the 2005 lot, but the sub is a very clever and neat piece of engineering - as well as a good looker for a change. You can buy this system with confidence - it's good. That said you should compare if you can to another good surround package such as M&K's K series or Xenon. The Xenon is miles better (for more money), the K-series is a bit better (for similar money). The K-Series looks a dog's dinner whereas the Xenon is pretty, if not sexy.
