I am looking at buying a set of loudspeakers and a home theatre system. I am interested in the Fluance SV-10 loundspeakers and the Fluance SX-HTB home theatre system. I don't know much about speakers so my question is will these speakers together be able to play hard rock loudly and sound good and will the subs be able to shake me some when a car blows up on the big screen? If not can you recommend me some some good loudspeakers and sound systems.

No I am sorry but it will not be as loud as other systems. The sensitivity is too low for headbanging loudness. Sensitivity of 87 is typical of smoother sounding speakers, but a speaker with a sensitivity of 90 needs 1/2 the power to reach the same volume and sensitivity of 93 means that you need 1/4 the power to reach the same volume. Furthermore if you find a speaker with a sensitivity of 97 it will play twice the volume(every 10dB doubles the volume). So sensitivity of 87dB at 1 watt and a max power of 200 watts means that the speaker maxxes out at 110dB but a 97dB sensitivity speaker with 100 watts max power reaches 117dB(nearly twice the volume) with 1/2 the amplification. If you are looking for loud rock look into Klipsch. Or if you don't want to spend as much maybe DCMs.
