My Line-a-Track Revox turntable will not play the inner grooves! The servo mechanism causes the cartridge to start skipping as it nears the ned of a disc and then, finally, causes the cartridge carrier to retract all the way to the starting position. Any help will be most appreciated.
This is a late answer - maybe you solved the problem already ... a question of adjustment of left-hand end switch which must become activated at specified distances from the turntable's center (see service manual ... "if switching does not occur at the specified radii, a correction can be effected by slightly repositioning the respective micro switch within the play permitted by its mounting holes."). Regards, Luis
My Revox had a similar problem that was caused by the hardening of the rubber bellows that damp the downward movement of the cartridge when you drop it onto the record.
The arm that supports the cartridge assembly never fully disengaged as the bellows still held its weight slightly. The result was a lowering in tracking force that caused the cartridge to mistrack at the extremes of the record.
