New member Username: OnthebeachPost Number: 1 Registered: Aug-06 | I have a Rega Mira 3 with Rega Ela speakers in an all Rega system. There are a pair of Linn Sara's in really good condition available locally. They have always been a favorite of mine. I was wondering if they would be an improvement over my Elas, and if the Rega Mira 3 could drive them? thanks |

If you do buy the Saras, you'll get a lovely sound out of them but not a very loud one. If you're not looking to fill a large room or drive them loud, then you may be on your way to achieving a nice system when you replace the amp (the obvious candidate would be a larger Naim amp such as a 160, 180, or 250). You can build a 'typical' Linn/Naim system from the 70's, with very good results indeed, then. The Mira will suffice but only in the short term probably. Regards, Frank. |
