my cd player (cambridge audio d300) jumps when the central heating boiler fires-up. i've tried to measure any power dip with an analogue multimeter - no movement from the needle when it happens, possibly because it all happens too fast? incidentally the radio isn't affected at all.
any ideas?

You can get a power conditioner. I would chat at www.audioasylum.com and ask for advice as to which one. I saw some on the www.ebay.com They also protect your components and some even make them sound better.

Check the power conditioner section on this sight.
My home CD player starts to play a song and half the way through it returns to the beginning of the song and starts to play it again. What part could be causing this?
