I am starting up my home theater system and would like some input. Havent done this since (Yamaha 90 amp, pre-amp, etc.) my early army barracks days LOL! I am very intersted in Harman but it doesnt have THX, the Pioneer does...anyone have a thought? My system starts with a Samsung LNS4095DX 40" LCD. Any input is appreciated and thanks!
Lamarr, THX doesn't mean shite. Lots of good stuff doesn't carry the designation. Give us a basic layout, expectations and listening preferences for more info back.
HT- 70% action movies mostly,music? Scorpion and so on of course! small room, look to spend less than 500 on rec, looks are part of it (i love the HK), but want the 1080p and HK doesnt say if it is or not. Like several PE models as well as Yamaha.
Here's to two chipmunks, whomever you are. You should decide right away how far you want to go with the setup. Either 'yeah it's good for movies' or 'yeah it's great for music'. Tradeoffs will just kill music. And a budget would help. If starting from zero and wanting to spend 1200 for all, go to HTIB.
