For these heavy duty large power amps out there (Parasound, Bryston, Anthem, etc.) how do you rack them. I am looking for a rack and can't seem to find something really nice and elegant yet sturdy to hold 150lbs on it's shelves with depth of 22-23 inches.

I have a BDI 9522 and it's only 18 inches deep.

Industrial strength units, Kamran.
Do you need a roll out rack or presentation style?
If you are wanting to hide the cables, a roll out rack is preferable, if you have the rear space.
And I thought the Classe was heavy!

Amps on the floor is good, allowing for dissipation, this is largely for big tubes, though.

It would really depend on if you want to diplay the cables or not, I suppose. Some big,fat cables are made for display.

I like amps on the floor, myself.

150lb. amps are not meant to be placed inside a rack. They should be used on their own stands out on the floor. Not only is the consideration done for heat dissipation but also for microphonics.

If you really need to place these amps inside a rack you should either investigate a professional rack and some rack shelves or ears, or look in the back of Stereophile or Absolute Sound. You'll find companies advertising racks designed for heavy amplifiers in those pages.

well, its for anthem or parasound which are around 100lbs.

I cannot put it on floor, it needs to be in a rack. I need a rack where I can hide wires if possible. and it has to look nice.

Dude you should have planned for this ahead of time.
Looking nice is big quality cables on the floor for me.
Otherwise follow Jan's advise.
Why would you hide such a huge/quality piece?

kamran, it is meant to be on display!

And don't trip on the cables.

Check out their entire product line, very very nice looking products. This particular model holds up to 330lbs a tier. Cheers

I like the Lambda in the Steel and Glass section.

I want to be able to hide all the HT wires or have some type of conduit in the back. But it is not necessary.
