In the process of building a home with no room for dedicated HT. Desire in wall LCR for plasma over fireplace and rear ceiling surrounds for great room (LR/DR/kitchen). My AV installer carries RBH, Jamo, and James. The James will likely be out of my budget at around $1K each, $300 each is more in my price range. Anyone have experience with RBH or Jamo with this type of application and can make a recommendation? Thanks for the help, as it's nearly impossible to audition in wall/ceiling speakers.
If I am building a home, chintzing on speakers is like none at all. Difficult to replace a poor choice. Your installer seems a tad limited in selection. Any previous installs you can go inspect?
I have Polk Audio TCi in-ceiling speakers for my front and rears and they sound great. On movies my system sounds better but for music it lacks a little from the Polk RTi4's I replaced the fronts with.
