Im a little confused about speakers being in/out of phase. What does it mean, what are the effects, and, can it damage my equipment (speakers, or reciever).

It will not damage your equipment but the bass will suffer (you'll hear less bass).

Nice. Topologies? How about a nice tall FIR?

I was testing a 2.1 plate amp. I don't know what was wrong with the thing but I thought I was going to hurl.

Yeah, but will they like my answer?

Nuck-
Funny, that's what the amp supplier said too, and yet, I still sent it back.

I asked my wife to listen to it also, just in case it was something I ate.

She ran out of the room.

I have no soundstage if one speaker is out of phase with the other.

You should have sent the amp to GW - it could be the next WOMV*

Jeffrey,
To experience a phasing issue, reverse the wires on one of your speakers. It won't hurt anything, other than the music.
