Feeling stupid and wondering if anyone can help ...
I just bought a couple of cheap Panasonic shelf-system speakers to use as the "B" set on my current system. In order to do so, I need to connect some much longer wire to back of the speakers.
Unfortunately, the wire connects are hidden inside the cabinets, and I haven't yet been able to figure out how to open the cabinets. Any suggestions/info on how this kind of unit comes apart would be much appreciated. If it helps at all, they are Panasonic Part No. RGNX0146, part of speaker system Model No. SB-AK600.
but! some cabinets once there made there sealed/glued so they will not come apart without some major effort.
if you take out the largest driver from the front of the cabinet with the screws holding it in place you may get enough room to do what you want.

If you can't remove grille as with most of these style speakers you cant remove a driver. Dont open, go to radio shack and get wire connectors and splice the additional length you need to the existing wires. Its the best way. If you tamper with box they'll never be the same ,they will resonate.
