Another WHF 5 star product. Similarly, the 11L and 12L are performers in their price range. They give a very musical sound and render a smooth passage into tracks (the highs sound smooth without harshness or edginess of metal tweeters). The only limitation is a slight lack of high frequency detail 'IF' you do A-B comparison with other speakers utilizing metal tweeters eg Epos M12.2, Monitor Audio RS1 but these on the other can sound a tad harsh for certain tracks at the expense of a bit more air or detail. However, the mids of the 11/12L are great. Regarding 11 or 12L, well, the 12L would be my choice as it presents a more fullrange sound and has better low end easily. Either way, they look great, beats the competition in every way in terms of aesthetics alone (for their asking price). I find this review to favour my opinion on them: http://www.tnt-audio.com/casse/quad_11_12_e.html Cheers |
