i'm considering buying one of these. a few questions i have are:
1. video bandwidth is 50mHz; some receivers like HK 7200 are 100mHz. How much do you need for HDTV?
2. DACs: can't find any info in NADs website; what kind/specs do these receivers use?
3. any advantages of the 773 over 763? appears to be only slightly more power (10 wpc) and 7.1 vs 6.1. it appears that with the 773, even though you get 7.1, and a second zone remote, you still need a separate amp to drive a second zone, which for me somewhat negates the 7.1 benefit. i can't for the life of me understand why nad didn't go the extra 1/10th of a mile and enable the receiver to power the second zone, like many competitors do.

Partial answers:

1. I believe 50mHz is fine for current component video and HDTV, but I would ask an expert.

2. Not sure, sorry.

3. The 773 can do a powered second zone -- it just isn't documented. All you need to do is:
- Set Advanced Options to 5.1/2.0
- Remove the jumpers on the back that connect the left and right rear surround pre-out to their matching main in jacks
- Use a couple standard audio cables to connect the zone 2 outputs to the rear surround main in jacks
- Your rear surround speaker posts are now a powered zone 2

2. I'm not sure about this but I think all T7x3 use high quality 96kHz/24bit DACs. The T163 has 192/24.

3. The T773 might have an additional toroidial transformer compared to T763.
