Hi All! I need to make up my mind on the following speakers: B&W DM603 S3 Infinity BETA40 KEF IQ5 QUAD 12L being the fisrt 3 towers, and the 4th bookshelf (there would be also a KEF IQ3). I got the feeling with those ones after long research to appeal the ears for 500$. About the ampli I was thinking of a NAD 352CT (if I manage to find it in USA), or a Harman Kardon HK3480, again in order to stick around 500$. What you think? Please avoid the first answer in your head, because I know already that I should simply listen to them and buy what my ears prefer. But I live very far from any HiFi shops: my only chance is to buy online in USA, and get them abroad during a short trip.
b&w sound is much smoother in the highs and mids and tighter punch whith the bass in this price range i believe. i have the 603s3's and i love em. great speaker for the price, read around the net on reviews of the speaker. btw, they are powered by a denon 3805 receiver, good match. i had kef q70's before and thought they lacked depth, but never listened to the iq5 so cannot comment on that particular model.
