Sure, it depends on the home and where you want to place the speakers. In the final estimate, how much you are willing to either pay or work to get the job done, and whether you are willing to possibly look at some exposed cabling runs (well disguised, of course) will determine whether this is feasible in your situation.
In ceiling speakers have allwas been nothing but trouble for me, I installed a few they sounded pretty good and then lost all the power one day. I never had them cranked or abused them. There still stuck up their. And why not just waste a bit if space in your home? buy some bookshelf speakers and mount them on the wall. In my opinion anyway their far more convient then cutting a hole in the ceiling.
