I have B&W DM 601 S3 bookshelves powered by a haram/ kardon HK 670 amp. My speakers are capable of being biwired and I plan to use some medium quality cable (such as Kimber) to biwire my speakers. What i want to know is, that by biwiring, will the high freqencies become sharper, without there being any proportionate increse in the lows? This is because my speakers are already wonderfully clear and i do not want them to become sharp. Or does biwiring create a better tonal quality on the whole? I had recently tried to birire my speakers (with ordinary cable I am presently using), by runnning two sets of cales to each speaker from the amps Speaker 1 and 2 terminals to the ports at the speakers and found the sound too sharp. Will this also occur with proper birable speaker cables? Your advise is highly appreciated.
