It has no date labeled. I'm a relative vinyl virgin (actually have a bunch of LPs, yet no turntable until now) but I figured I might as well have an entry level toy to play with and see where it leads. It seems identical to their recently re-introduced XL-120 MK2. I have a new cartridge, headshell, phono preamp, and slipmats coming in the mail. I cleaned the unit, calibrated the RPM speeds, found a good vibration-dampened spot to put it, and snugged all the screws. Any more "starter" tips would be greatly appreciated. Also I wanted to thank you guys for the thread below. It was informative https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/home-audio/152165.html My Gemini has the same M-22 cartridge. |
