Post Number: 1 Registered: Jan-06 | i have a 5 year old jbl 10" sub. it has served me well, until one day, i came home and smelled something burning. i took it apart and noticed some black sooth on the pcb and the 2 large caps blown. should i take it to some repair shop or should i save up for a new sub? i sure hate to see the speaker itself go to waste, but if it would only cost me 50 more to get a new sub, then i'll bite the bullet and put the speaker/box for sale if that's the case. |

I don't know if any of these will fit your cabinet, but it might be cheaper than getting whole new sub. http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage.cfm?webpage_id=3&SO=2&&DID=7&CATID=43&Object Group_ID=505 |

Post Number: 3 Registered: Jan-06 | thanks mark, the first post is great, i'll have to cut around the box to fit this new amp thingy. i was trying to find that, cuz i went to the website, but all i could find was a complete setup, the guts, the speaker and box. but the gut is all that i need. thanks. |
