Hello. My SONY receiver is about 5 years old and now makes more frequent clicking noises, like it's trying to turn itself on and off. At first, the sound would go out when I would listen to DVDs with Dolby 5.1 sound. Now, it's happening on all modes. I took it to a repair shop a few months back and the guy told me that he couldn't find anything wrong with it. Any suggestions/ideas? I figure that a circuit has been shorted or something.

Did you change the speakers or change the configurations of it. It happened he same to me, the problem were the speakers. I rewired it all again and fixed it.
