hk 435 Denon AVR-886 Yamaha HTR 5890 i have psb 4t, 8c, alpha av rear 60%ht 40%music ... rock folk blues etc.
i now have hk 130 and find it under powered but otherwise like it i really love my brothers old (early'90s) denon
i don't have much time to go out and listen may be i could go to a big box store but realy you can't really hear a system there... crap speakers and too much noise.

Out of JUST those 3, I would go with the Yamaha 5890 for power.
Out of those 3 I would choose the H/K for the power.
I have run a bunch of Psb's and the HK handles their wide varying loads very evenly. A little shorter on reatures, but the standard presets for effect, which a lot of people don't use anyhow.
I'll go with Nuck's evaluation, I would go for the HK. Better power supplies and plays well with the PSBs.

my harman deal fell through but i can get the yamaha RXV1500 insted of the htr5890 for the same price.
i really perfer the harman it will be an extra $200can. for hk435
and i'd like to hear yamaha with psb first... but that shouldn't be a problem (they also sell psb). i just need the time
if anyone knows where i could get the hk in toronto for around $700can ($600us) that would be great

I've seen the hk435 at costco for $800can. Otherwise, wait until boxing day to see how much it's discounted at future shop.

You have to go in store at costco, they don't have everything on thier website. I'd be *very* surprised if future shop doesn't have the 435 on sale during boxing day, 635 as well for that matter.
