I have been in the midst of a sudden upgrade in my AV system on a whim (why do I always do things like this?!). I have bought some good speakers (I think) used through ebay -- B&W DM610i (mains), B&W DM302 (surrounds) and some Boston Acoustics CR2 rears, but I still need a center speaker. I am thinking of buying a 6.1 receiver and using the B&W 302 set together as my center (using the BAs and another BA I have for the surrounds and rear). This is mostly for budget reasons--B&W center speakers (even used) tend to be super expensive. I thought the two DM302 speakers together might make a good center. The receiver I am considering handles 4 ohms, and DM302 speakers are rated at 8 ohms. Can I connect both of them to the center channel? Will they together then be rated at 4 ohms? Will this sound good? Is it dangerous for the receiver or speakers? Any other issues I should take into consideration? The receiver I am looking at, by the way, is the NAD T762.
