Please help me to choose between:
1. Onkyo TX-SR503
2. Cambridge Audio Azur 540R

Some experts preffered Cambridge Audio becouse of their performance not their look.

Put the second one first, the third one second and the first one back on the shelf.

That was easy!

Ok. tq. How about the new pioneer VSX-815? I just know about it from audioholics.com? They recommended this too.

should be fine for HT, I just wouldn't expect much for music. If you want to stay analog, you'd be better going off with an HK 135 or 235, IMO.

just trying

Can you spring a bit more for the vsx-1015 or one of the bigger H/K's? Sound wise, the 135 or 235 will be fine but with such little features, mostly in's and out's, you may need to upgrade sooner than later anyways. But, that depends on how much you will in fact use. My H/K 330's digital in's are full, all the composite in's are full, and I still have more gear I want to use! Just think and plan ahead that's all I'm saying.

P.S. If you're gonna buy an H/K online just buy a refurb from H/K's direct site. You will save alot of $$$.

How would the CA 540R compare with the HK 635? On paper it sems more powerful but looks really small in size.......

Depends on what speakers you are driving, and how much 2 channel/surround you want to run.
What are your speakers at present?
