Verbos Unregistered guest | Hello, I listen to all types of music with a strong emphasis on acoustic jazz and female vocals. Occasionally I also listen to more pop oriented stuff, but rarely. With an NAD 320BEE, would the 340's be a good match? I am not a bass fiend, I like to HEAR it but I don't necessarily have to feel it. LOL! |

The 320BEE having less power, probably also has less bass...but should be fine with the 340s since you say you are not a bass fiend. The Ascends particularly do well with acoustic jazz and female vocals, btw. It might be worth waiting until mid-January when the new Ascend 340SE comes out though, with totally different drivers, a retuned cabinet, and supposedly an extra 10Hz of bass extension. Here's the details on the new model: http://forum.ascendacoustics.com/showthread.php?t=1456 |
