Bronze Member Username: Eieiei0101xPost Number: 76 Registered: Jul-05 | Could anyone please provide me with the formula or where can I find tables of the relationship between input watts and output dBs in a speaker? I want to calculate for a certain sensibity speaker the watts needed to perform at differemt dB levels Thanks a lot |
Anonymous | The sensitivity is the output at 1 watt for an 8ohm speaker @ 1 meter. For each doubling of wattage, output is increased by 3dB. |

I occasionally pop in to look at the thread titles and read a few. Maybe once every few days, or once a week. A lot less than once every hour or so like I used to! I see you guys have a few new members; good for you. New blood is always good! Anyway, off to either watch whatever accumulated in the PVR, or listen to a bit of music. Have fun! |
erererererer Unregistered guest | Thanks a lot to both of you, i really got what i wa looking for, now i understand why the difference between 88 and 91 dBs in sensitivity is so important when using a low power amp Eduardo |
