Is it sufficient to use a 220V/120V converter to run a 120V/60hz Receiver on 220V/50hz supply? Would the difference in frequency affect the sound quality? Would I be able to receive radio channels if I use my receiver in Europe. Thank you.
yes, I've had experience with those, when going to Europe and Asia. Use the biggest most efficient converters (or transformers as they are called in some areas) you can get. The power requirement for receivers specially going from US spec 110 to 220v does not seem much but if the converter is too small, you will suffer from a lot of power dips and fluctuations.
