I bought a JBL DCS 1000 surround sound system in Germany and was assured that it was region free .. NOT. Does anyone know how to unlock the regions on the DVD player?

I purchased a daewoo dvd vcr combo (sh-7700A) without knowing anything about regions. now i need to unlock it. can anyone help me? thankyou
