New member Username: Santa199Post Number: 6 Registered: Aug-05 | is the banana plug on this cable standard red and white rca? http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/search/detail/base_id/110387 i plan on using that to hook my guitar into my stereo system to save money on a new amp, but i dont know if that's the right hook up... this is probably a really dumb question but i dont know crap any help is appreciated |

That is a 1/4" phone jack (which should be the output of your guitar) on one end that then terminates in a two pin banana plug (hot and ground). The banana connector is meant to plug directly into a speaker in most consumer audio applications. Unless your speaker has a powered amplifier built in or your amplifier has banana connections for inputs, this won't give you any sound. Try a phone jack to an RCA plug instead. |
