I have a DVD/CD player (Yorx)"el cheapo"....but it has been working just fine for what we need. However, last night we went to play a CD (as usual) and I said "what the heck is wrong with that?" It was playing "slow" like if you had an old dirty cassette in a messed up deck.....I tried cleaning the laser, no change. I checked all my settings, nothing out of whack. HELP!! :D
sounds like the dvd/cd turntable is screwed up. Unless this "el cheapo" machine is under warranty or has a means of correcting the turntable speed, it will probably be less expensive to buy a new machine. On a cheap machine it will often cost more to fix it than to replace it.
You might have to e-mail "York" first to see if the speed can be altered without going through a lot of histrionics, unless it has a use pamphlet that addresses this issue.
