It was missing the cartridge and stylus, so i replaced it. It sounds great, but is running slow. ANY SUGGESTIONS?? This is such a beauty, i cant bear to have it another day without it running correctly. |

That's a belt-driven player, so the belt may have detriorated or warped with age or it might not situated correctly on the pulleys. I would take off the platter (it should simply come right off, no complicated disassembly) and inspect the belt. Make sure it isn't slipping off the pulley or the platter and is in good condition. Observe how it operates with motor running. Also, get a can of compressed air and clean out any dust contamination from the inside. If it is anomalous at all, you can easily get a replacement belt: http://www.lpgear.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=LG&Product_C ode=TSLB202 That's the first link I found, a cheaper replacement belt might be had. |
