Bronze Member Username: RaksPost Number: 57 Registered: Aug-05 | Hi, I have auditioned some of the speakers I was considering for my Music and HT set-up ( 50 / 50 ). I am posting my opinions and you can pitch in with your views. Your opinions and views will be helping me in figuring out my system needs. I like warm sounding speakers that are not too bright. To be precise I liked Totem Sound for Music (I am not sure how Totem will be for HT) My Options for Speakers: Auditioned and Selected 1. Totem Arros - Best for Music. Not sure about HT 2. Linn Ninkas - Second best for Music. Might be a good HT set-up as well Have not auditioned HT set-up yet 3. B&W 703 - Good for Music and HT ( not comparable to Totems for music) But very expensive 4. Spendorf S5e - Good Musically. May be laid back in HT. HT not auditioned 5. Quad 22L - Auditioned Quad 11L and is pretty good Musically. I expect it to be good for HT as well. 6. Revel F12 - Good for HT and Music and affordable. But 6th, music wise. Not auditioned yet. But still in consideration 1. Totem Hawk - Very High on my list. Our local dealer does not carry 2. Monitor Audio Silver 6 / 8 - Going to audition this week. Heard good things about these for both Music and HT 3. Rocket RS750/RS850 - No audition yet. Does not want to rule out yet. I will not buy without auditioning. I am from Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Can anyone help ? 4. Swan Diva 6.1 - No audition yet. I will not buy without auditioning. I am from Dalas - Fort Worth Metroplex. Can anyone help ? Please let me know your views / opinions on my choices. Thanks Raks |

There are a number of Rocket owners in the DFW metroplex, they had a big get together about 6 weeks ago up there. |

The forum has been back up and running a couple days or more now on a new server. You may need to re-register if they lost info transferring to new servers. http://av123forum.com/showthread.php?s=84659426d36644a4669e1e1ea40e5f63&threadid =10009 |

The one that really sticks out in my mind is the Totem Arro. While they can be very good with decent amplification, they don't get anywhere near their potential until using an amp that costs more than they sell for. For a lot of opinions on the Arro's, see the Totem Arro thread in the speakers section. What amp are you running? |
