Anonymous | Are all speaker wire directional meaning that you need to hook up the wire with the writing on it toward the speaker? I have Acoustic Research 16 gauge wire and I never knew anything about this. If all my wire is not hooked up this way, does it matter? Any help is appreciated. Thanks... |

Speaker wire is not shielded and the current flows half the time in each direction (AC), so this is no direction. AFAIK. |

I was talking to an electrical engineer who said he was a sceptic and couldn't believe he could hear the difference. I think he was just trying to defend his $200 purchase.
