I have HSU ventriliquist + H/K AVR 135. Not the best, but you know money's always been a bit tight. Needed something pretty small in the speaker dept. (wife's call) so thus the ventriligusit over, say, Energy C-series.
Wharfedale Diamond 8.1/9.1. Small, inexpensive and pretty darn good!

a bit of both. More HT than music though. oh, the ventriliquist package came with an STF-2 sub. problem is, I got used to my older setup (which was much larger) and had at least a respectable amount of bass. I'm now figuring out the glaring deficiencies with relying only on a sub for bass. I suppose that there is no such thing as a small speaker that puts out at least reasonable bass?
