i recently got a pair of B&W bookshelfs (602 s3) to accompany my Jolida 502b and Music Hall MMF-5. I love the warm sound and clarity from the speakers and amp, but i think i could use a little more bass. I was used to the bass output of my sansui int. amp. I realize the speakers don't have a dedicated bass driver, so there may be some inherent limitations. What is the best bang for buck regarding improving bass response?

- wait until speakers and amp are 100% broken in?
- better speaker cables? (I have mid-range monster now)
- better interconnects? (i have mid range monster now)
- new speakers with an independent bass driver?
- run wires through a powered sub?

one thing i know is i'll keep the Jolida, the overall sound and power far outweights the perceived lack of bass, and tube sound is a lot more pleasing than solid state for my taste. So if at all possible i would like to improve bass with the amp i have

thank you

"- wait until speakers and amp are 100% broken in?"
Sure, its free.

"- better speaker cables? (I have mid-range monster now) "
I wouldn't count on cables helping you here.

"- better interconnects? (i have mid range monster now) "
Or here.

"- new speakers with an independent bass driver?"
Maybe.

"- run wires through a powered sub?"
Best bet.
