Bronze Member Username: PbdrPost Number: 48 Registered: Apr-05 | So I am at the point of adding a subwoofer and am looking for a litle advice (I know there is a seperate subwoofer forum, but everyone that knows squat about speakers is on this forum). I am looking for a budget job, prefereably delivered for less than $250, but less is better (used or refurbished units). I listen to about 50:50 music (rock, alt country, punk, etc.) and movies; so something that handles music well is important as well as having at least some "rumble". My existing system is an Onkyo SR502, lite on LVW 5005 (dvd/cd), Mirage omni 60 (fronts, have a bit of bass by themselves), and bose 161 (surrounds; yes, yes Bose I know, but they work well as surrounds) From my own research it seems that Velodyne and Energy make good subs, not to mention M&K; anything in my price range from those? So now to the peanut gallery Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks in advance. |
