Dumb question. I just received my Azur 540a. Sounds great. Just opened up the batteries, put them in the remote that came with the amp. Pointed the remote at it from 2 feet away, level, unobstructed. Nothing. Volume doesn't adjust, cant switch sources (although, I only have one attached), can't turn the power off...
Open to the possibility that I might be an idiot, I've taken the batteries out and installed them correctly 3 times now.
The remote is supposed to operate the (integrated) amp, right?
I don't really see an IR receiving window on the face of the amp. Can someone who has one confirm that indeed the remote that comes with the 540a should actually operate the 540a? Before I go buy another set of brand new batteries.

My self confidence is restored. A brand new pack of duracells shows that I do know how to install batteries. The unit shipped with dead ones!
I'll probably spend the morning watching the volume wheel turn round on its own!
