To my knowledge no such item exists. Stereophile did run an article about a phono pre amplifier/analog to digital converter that sits on the headshell of the tonearm. You can check the archives of Stereophile magazine for the particulars. The article was printed in the last six months.
I think I saw somewhere that Technics has a digital turntable. It didn't make any sense to me and I didn't look further into it (tt's are analog, where does the digital come in?). Now that I think about it, it was on the Technics turntable webpage. I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but it may help.
