I'm looking for a new sub, my old Cerwin Vega keeps bottoming out. I'll use it mostly for movies but music is also important. My HT room is 12' x 22', on carpet over concrete. I'm looking at the two following:
Rikizzel - A lot of people say the HSU's outperform the Paradigm subs. I don't know if they mean dollar for dollar, or flat out. Another one that people rave about is the SVS. I don't own a sub, but everytime it comes up here, people mention these almost exclusively.
Thanks for your prompt reply, as far as i know, the SVS is not availlable in Canada. Both of them are 10" subs, the Paradigm is 400 watts RMS with low freq. at 23hz and the HSU is 250 Watts RMS with low freq. at 25hz (but apparantly can go lower). I wonder if those numbers will make a big difference for the money. And you're right HSU gets rave reviews across the board, but so does Paradigm. Thanks again.
I used to own the Paradigm. Buy the Hsu. The Paradigm is a nice little sub but I have become partial to down firing subs. I don't believe that you would be disappointed with the Hsu.
