Hi, I've got a very old home stereo, it's a Fisher, that I no longer use, but the speakers I think that could be usefuel for my TV. My TV is a Panasonic with outputs for external speakers, but I want to know what I have to do to attach these speakers to the TV.

The speakers have two terminals, one that is labeled as common and the other labeled as 8 Ohm, so I think that with a RCA that have these speakers I can connect it directly to the TV, but I did that and I cant hear anything, in spite of that I selected in the front panel of the TV to use the exernal sound output. What could I do to use this speakers like something like home theater or to have a better sound quality on the TV.

Thanks

Connect the speakers to your receiver, and then run your audio sources into your receiver as well. Your speakers need a power source, and shouldnt be connected to your TV directly if you want them to sound good.
