You can treat the jitter problem this way - and is convenient to have your collection under your finger tips. Later, you can even add a good DAC to further improve the sound. If you are still not happy with the sound, you might want to upgrade the speaker - B&W is a respected British company, but only their upper models sound really good. But your idea about a different amp is a good one - will improve the sound some what. Buy them used at www.audiogon.com or www.audioweb.com and save - this way, if you are not happy with it, you can re-sell and not lose much. It's fun to experiment with different audio gears - and buying used, your loved ones wouln't give you that look either. |
