Gold Member Username: Paul_ohstbucksPost Number: 1258 Registered: Jan-05 | Speakers, anyone?? Oh yes, another Friday beer/pizza night has arrived!! After knocking off at noon to watch some US OPen Golf, I am now ready to watch my first movie. I tried to rent my second movie in 18months (sopranos disc2) ...duh??...they were sold out. Oh well..more reasons not to rent!!!! I did buy "Hitch", and will watch it 'later' since it isnt an LFE ridden movie. Hmmmm....I still dont have a clue what I'll watch, but I plan to pick two LFE-Heavy movies for warmups, and then finish off the evening with the comedy(Hitch). Cheers!!!! Time to dig through the archives to find an epic that will 'shake' things up |

Silver Member Username: Thx_3417Bournemouth, Dorset United Kingdom Post Number: 329 Registered: May-05 | Hallo there Joseph Sadly it's only 25in, hahaha, yes 25in and when I see a video projector going for the right price then I'll bite on to it. So in the meantime for the size of room 14xL 10xW 9xH it's got to do and I hate it so much when all these yuppies with there flash cash and yet they can't place three matching loudspeakers behind a screen with that $6000.00 dollar DLP video projector. So any more questions for the former cinema projectionist, no! Then I rest my case for now.... |

Gold Member Username: Paul_ohstbucksPost Number: 1263 Registered: Jan-05 | yea joe.........hitch is batting cleanup tonight I'll wait until 'quiet' hours for that one. BTW, I saw Napoleon Dyno too.....hahahahaha OK, Im off to start movie 2 Which one??.........not sure yet......HEH |

Almost bought the InFocus 4805 but now am waiting for its successor (which has true HDTV resolution) which will be coming out by the end of this summer but at around $2K---however by this time next year that price should drop considerably. |

Silver Member Username: Joe_cOakwood, Ga Post Number: 444 Registered: Mar-05 | Size matters not, look at my V8 in my Yugo. Please, like Paul said, you offer up all the jazz about richter scale and thx approved systems. You think lucas has a reference 20" tv?? Save the money from those paper subs and go with the projector first yoda.
Gold Member Username: Paul_ohstbucksPost Number: 1284 Registered: Jan-05 | LOL joe..... I didnt know Andy was a HT-fraud until he admitted to having an ECONO TV. Sorry, but theres no way of owning a 25"TV and claiming any sort of HT. Well, at least unless your 7.1 HT is situated in a 4x6' closet. |
Silver Member Username: Thx_3417Bournemouth, Dorset United Kingdom Post Number: 357 Registered: May-05 | ware it out Paul, ware it out, if I could possibly even care, no I'm not that impatient for the needs of a video projector, good things come for those who wait.... And I'm patient enough for waiting for the day and the opportunity to come along and when I see a video projector going for a price that I can afford and maintain has well with costs like the halogen lighting etc... That's when I'll bite you Americans are all in a hurry to get to the moon, give it a rest, mate I can design a home cinema from the ground up, and for far less money as well, anyway back to the full six-track plus more!!!! |
Gold Member Username: Paul_ohstbucksPost Number: 1299 Registered: Jan-05 | C'mon.......the moon is old news.(for 'us' anyway) I realize the UK is 1-2 generations behind technology-wise, so I apologize for giving you a hard time about your small 4:3 Cinema screen. That was rather rude on my part, and I should be ashamed of myself. I suppose for UK'ians, simply having color TV with more than 4TV channels is a big deal, so for that........I say "I'm Sorry". |
Silver Member Username: Thx_3417Bournemouth, Dorset United Kingdom Post Number: 359 Registered: May-05 | Paul As a matter of fact we have more than 4 channels including digital channels, the BBC has around 5, I think digital channels, ITV has around 4 I think and channel 4 has 2 or 3 not that I care as I don't watch the crap any more to many channels quantity not quality... I like my Laser disc and DVD for motion picture film viewing and CD stereo music classical and film score music and the classicfm radio for relaxing, any more questions, right so put a soak in it...... |
Gold Member Username: Paul_ohstbucksPost Number: 1311 Registered: Jan-05 | Wow.... I stand corrected. You apparently have 'way' over 10, so please forgive my assumption. Those 5 BBC channels must be especially wonderous. LOL.... BBC news=Communist |

Silver Member Username: ArtkAlbany, Oregon USA Post Number: 839 Registered: Feb-05 | Let the flaming begin. Paul, Andy's country is Democratic Socialist not communist. And even at that it does not mean that Andy agrees with his Government. Can you think of a time in the last 10 years when you didn't agree with our government? Nonetheless let's get back to audio guys. BTW I had to make do with a 27 incher for quite awhile until I decided to go into debt for the present set. Onward and upward fella's.
Zorro Unregistered guest | Hey Andy, Paul is not going to reply.....he just hides behind his little computer annoying and insulting people but has no b@lls to confront anyone...he is just a t w @ t ! |
Silver Member Username: Thx_3417Bournemouth, Dorset United Kingdom Post Number: 373 Registered: May-05 | Art Zorro Thank you very much, that's the kindest think to say, and I've got of my high horse now, and now back to the world of electronics and Hi-Fi sounds and musical delights, which is the one thing, we all commonly share together.... No matter what colour race or religion. It's up to each and one of us all to share this power of knowledge now matter how larger or small, to the best of are capabilities as best we can... That's all I have to say, and with that in mind take care and to each other. Ashley. |

Silver Member Username: Edster922Abubala, Ababala The Occupation Post Number: 908 Registered: Mar-05 | Andy, Paul is to this forum as mosquitoes are to swamps: annoying little buggers but part of the landscape. It's not surprising he thinks BBC is Commie, since he considers CNN to be "liberal!" LMAO... Paul wouldn't know a "liberal" if one of them bit him in the @ss! |
Silver Member Username: Thx_3417Bournemouth, Dorset United Kingdom Post Number: 374 Registered: May-05 | Hallo there Edster922 Well what Paul, said to me, and that remake he made to me and my county was wrongful has I know the differences about ones other's culture too and if I didn't then I shall hold my tongue. So a simple word form Paul, like sorry, would suffice... |

Silver Member Username: ArtkAlbany, Oregon USA Post Number: 841 Registered: Feb-05 | That Alien photo is pretty scary!
Silver Member Username: Thx_3417Bournemouth, Dorset United Kingdom Post Number: 375 Registered: May-05 | Yeah, those "Alien" warriors are real nasty, all the ever do is just kill and kill, systematic little buggers, so I say lets just zap them all with the pulse rifle. No worries sport... |
Gold Member Username: Paul_ohstbucksPost Number: 1312 Registered: Jan-05 | Ok, I stand corrected. The BBC is socialist scum, and not communist. Well......you know me, and I must have been rambling. Congrats on over 5 channels, well.......besides BBC material. Oh, and I can recognize liberal scum when I see it. geez....I just spend the past 4 days in Chicago for Gods sake. Plenty of those lowlifes slumming around in those parts. LOL |
Silver Member Username: Thx_3417Bournemouth, Dorset United Kingdom Post Number: 382 Registered: May-05 | What you mean you spent 4 days in the Chicago nick!!!!! Arr, remember to do it more often, from now on. So I don't think a sorry would help in any way, now would it. |
zorro Unregistered guest | lol...Chicago.....wow! ...must have been an electrifying experience for ya'...I mean first time ever out of your redneck village ! yes ! there is a world out there!
Gold Member Username: Paul_ohstbucksPost Number: 1381 Registered: Jan-05 | I wasnt bragging about chicago. It's a liberal cesspool and I would never live in a haven for such lowlifes. I was only responding to eddies 'Paul wouldnt know a liberal' comment, so I thought I'd share with him my cesspool trip to chicago since that place is flooded with them. Eddie even knows what I do for a living, so the fact that he would be that 'slow' to make such an accusation about me doesnt suprise me because Lefties arent the brightest light bulbs. |

Silver Member Username: Edster922Abubala, Ababala The Occupation Post Number: 989 Registered: Mar-05 | ah. Paul at his trollish best! where would we be without our favorite local jester? lol I think that anyone who doesn't walk around with a stick up his @ss waving a flag with one hand and pounding a Bible with the other is by definition a "liberal" in Paul's little world. |
Gold Member Username: Paul_ohstbucksPost Number: 1383 Registered: Jan-05 | Ok......maybe the stick and flag, but not the bible. My idea for spending a sunday morning is on the golf course. This morning was a beautiful day for it too Maybe I should go over to the Home-audio subwoofer forum and start a golf thread since the majority of that thread has nothing to do with the intended topic anyway. |
