If you can't tell which end of the cable, try using a volt meter place the one end of the cable on the volt +positive and the other end and place it on the --negative and the needle should swing over then place some coloured tape that you can identify as the one for positive and negative.
As much as we try to avoid politics on the forum, we have our occasional slip ups. I consider Mr. Vigne a friend, a gentleman, and one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever known. I also love the man dearly regardless of his political views. We can disagree, but I will always defend his right of choice. That's what makes America great. That said, good question Art, what is a typical Republican? LOL!
I have to say Paul fits my concept of a typical republican to a "T".
Guys, I didn't start this discussion and experience has proven this is not the place to have this discussion.
I would very much appreciate if Paul would leave his comments about liberals and conservatives out of this forum. If no one brings up the subject, no one will feel the need to respond.
In Paul's case it is merely one more thing he finds amusing knowing he can offend and annoy others on the forum.
As to the real typical Republican, they are about the same as the average Democrat, Libertarian, Green, Reform, or what have you, party member.
But, I say not wanting to inflame the discussion, did you ever notice how when the talking heads get together on TV you can almost always guess which one is on the right and which one is on the left? At some point, the stereotypes hold true. (I know, you guys think the Democrat is the one with the horns.)
Guys I have read both of your posts and consider you gentlemen. Just thought that I would throw a bit of a monkey wrench into the "typical" conversation. Jan I very much respect your audio knowledge. We may not always agree but I always respect you intellectual prowess. I agree that politics do not belong on this forum, but we all transgress from time to time. Hope David figured out his wire situation. LOL!
Paul - You really do have to look past the most obvious. You're apparently far too young to remember Jan Murray, a great male stand up comic who appeared many times on the Ed Sullivan Show. You didn't have to have a subwoofer to watch that show, Paul.
I was thinking more on the lines of 'Jan & Dean'. And yes, I agree that no sub is needed for your old reruns. Luckily, any boutique system will suite those 60 year old movie classics too.
Sorry Jan but my email says your email address doesn't work and you don't accept private messages. Is there a problem with your email or should I check on my end.
