Alpine CDE-7870, works for 10mins, then nothing

Installed Alpine CDE-7870 in my Tercel, Works nicely for like 15-20 mins then kicks off. Head unit still has power and appears functional but speakers output no sound. All the speaker wire is new. Any ideas?
