Good receiver for Polk Audio R50 floor speakers?

Hi,

I've decided on some Polk Audio R50 floorstanding speakers. I'm not looking for incredible sound and just want something a bit better than integrated speakers. I found these will do just fine!

However, I'm not sure what audio receiver to pair with these?

Anyone have them? What receiver would be decent to run them? Again, not looking for anything out of the norm or expensive.

What is "the norm" and what is "expensive" to you? Provide specific examples and numbers.

BTW have you already bought the R50s? For how much?

Room size? % music vs. HT use? Type of music?

If you are still in the planning stages, I'd recommend looking at the Athena AS-F2 towers as an alternative, $400 shipped from audioadvisor.com
