So, if you have only one source (e.g a CD player only), and you're happy with having to use two volume controls for left and right channels, then you don't need a preamp. On the other hand, if you want to attach a CD player, TV and tuner, or you'd rather have one volume control (and possibly balance), then you would need a preamp. Question in my mind is why are you buying a DJ amp if this is for an ordinary HiFi??? Regards, Frank. |
