Just a few questions. Firstly every other receiver I have owned when using AVIA for setup if you set the volume to -15 and calibrate you get 100 DB at 0 because AVIA is output at 85Db. With the T763 I need to use -5 Db which tells me 0Db is NOT 0 Db? Any comments? Also can you not set channel levels at 0.5 DB levels and speaker distances at 0.5 feet rather than 1 foot? Thanks!!!!!!!!! Please comment if you know the answers as I have only today to return the unit.
As to the speaker distances change your units to meters and you can set with an accuracy of 0.1 meter which is round about 0.3 feet, you just make a bit more calculations... As to the gain ajustment is kind of hard to understand your question, do you mean the test tone reaches 100dB? In my case, big room, large floor stand speakers I get 70dB on the test tone at the listening position with the volume button at zero. But this is influenced by your room, cable, speakers and also connectors I guess. Did I get you wrong and you are using another calibration method?
