Wattage question - 8 vs. 4 Ohms

I need advice on the following:

My HT system consists of:
Fronts: Canton CD300, rated 110-170 at 4...8 Ohms
Center: Canton CD360F, rated 110-170 at 4...8 Ohms
Surrounds: Canton CD50, rated 50-100 at 4...8 Ohms
Canton does not provide efficiency ...they seem to be fairly inefficient.

I was looking at different receivers, including Rotel RSX-1056, NAD T753.
Called NAD tech support, and the tech suggested T763, saying that T763 will produce about 130 watts at 4 Ohms. The price difference is $350.00, and I don't know if I need all that power -100 watts, or I can get 753?

Also, is it worth to buy Rotel (75 wts/ch) VS.? NAD - Rotel has video up conversion to component, but does not have headphones jack. NAD has the jack, but does not up convert.

Thank you all for your input.

The T763 is rated at 130W into 8 ohms. It should push considerably more into 4 ohms.

The T753 is rated at 90W into 8 ohms. Going from 90W to 130W, a mere 1.6 dB increase, for $350 seems expensive to me. Look to me if there many extra features you'd get from the T763 that would be useful to you.
