Anonymous | Newbie question. My brother is willing to donate to me his Rotel 1066 6 channel amp. I was wondering if I can use the 1066 to drive the L, C, R channels (bridged), with the Marantz 5500 (or even a 4500) serving as the pre for those channels, yet powering the rear L+R on its own? At the risk of repeating myself, what I am trying to do is make the Marantz work as a processor only for the front speakers, and as an integrated (processor and amp at the same time) for the surround speakers. The speakers I have in mind are Paradigm Monitor 5 and a CC-370. I have not purchased those yet. The rears are Speakercraft in-ceiling (already in place). Hope you can clarify this for me. |

Anonymous | Arthur, would you use the 5500 or the 4500? Any qualms about using a 5400? Thanks for your comments. |
